Steal her Style: Rachel Green

'Steal her Style' posts have always been one of my most popular posts read by you wonderful readers. I haven't written one of these posts in a long long time but whilst watching Friends recently I remembered just how fashionable the character Rachel has been over the ten series. One of my first 'Steal her Style' posts was actually of Jennifer Aniston which you can read here.

This first outfit I really love and is one of my favourites that I've seen throughout the show, I'm also getting into wearing skirts a lot more now than I use to and I really want this one to add to my collection. I was quite surprised at just how near a match I could find to the one worn by Rachel, well done Topshop!

I personally love work wear and 'dressing up' and think this is another great outfit. Over the knee boots are in at the minute so I chose to include these in this post, by Public Desire who are making too many good shoes at the minute I just can't.

Autumn Fashion Wishlist

How is it September already?! September pretty much means Autumn is here, especially with the weather we've had lately, I feel like we haven't even had a summer yet. Talking of time flying by, this blog is now 2 years old as of yesterday so thank you to everyone who's reading this and has kept on reading. Public Desire Wishlist

Primark Haul - Spring 2015

A couple of weeks ago now I popped into Primark to see their Spring collection. I'd watched a lot of Primark hauls before (and after) going and saw they have so many nice things at the moment. Although in the store I went to it wasn't as good as I'd hoped because it's only a small store in a town, but I did manage to pick up a few things which I liked so I thought I'd share them with you.

This jumper is the first thing I picked up from these and I have to say I think it has to be the cosiest jumper I own. I did buy it in two sizes too big for me, not only because who doesn't love a baggy jumper? But also because it was in the sale for just £3 and it was the smallest size I could find, and I just couldn't leave without it. Next up is this black vest top with a scalloped edge all the way around with the shape of flowers cut out from each 'scallop' shape. I remember when these scallop vests came into fashion quite a few years ago now and I never managed to get my hands on one, then I think they just disappeared, or maybe I've just not seen any around but I really love this style and thought it'd be great for the spring/summer weather. I actually went into Primark looking for this blouse (as well as other things I didn't manage to find) and this is the only colour I could find it in although I was originally after it in white but nevertheless I actually really love this colour, it's a kind of mint green and quite sheer. I like the zip detail on the front and how it could either be worn just as a blouse or with the zip undone and a bandeau or vest underneath. The final item I purchased from Primark was this gorgeous black hand bag. I've been in the need for a hand bag as the one I'm currently using is getting a bit knackered and when I saw that it was just £12 and looked so much more expensive I just had to buy it. I have however since then had to return the bag as there was a problem with the zip, I'm not sure if it's the kind of zip they used with this bag as it was rough and hard to open and close or whether it was just the one I picked up.

Etsy Wishlist

I'm sure you've all heard of Etsy, but incase you haven't it's a website which you can have your own account or even business on. Where you can sell your handmade and vintage items and gifts. I'll hopefully be selling some of my own handmade gifts on there soon so keep your eyes peeled for that, but as I was browsing on there the other day I thought I'd create a little wishlist.

Above The Knuckle Rings - Jewellery is one of the most popular things on Etsy, in my opinion at least, so I had to pick out at least one piece to show you. I love these above the knuckle rings and you get 8 in a pack which I think is a lot compared to what you usually see in high street stores.

Mason Jar Light - If you could see my room you'd know that I probably have some kind of light obsession, from fairy lights around my fire place to candles and even electronic candles. And this mason jar light has to be next on my wishlist!

Dip Dyed Gift Tags - I've actually started making my own gift tags recently but when I saw these I thought it was such a good idea to dip-dye them and it means that every single one will be unique too.

Moleskine Notebook - I'm all about notebooks lately, whether they're for jotting down blogging ideas, ideas for projects at uni or just general to-do lists - or maybe even my secret plan to conquer the world....

Sweater Weather Is Better Weather Jumper - Let's face it, everyone's dying for Spring/Summer weather to hurry up at the moment but we all know sweater weather is better weather, right?

Pinterest Post #2 - Fashion

So here, as promised is the first of the pinterest board posts! This week I've chosen to focus on fashion, I think fashion must be one of the most popular things searched for on pinterest (second to food most probably) and it's filled with so much inspiration for all times of the year and there's something for everyone's style. You can see what else is on my fashion board here, whilst I've chosen five of my favourites to show you below.

White Shirt and Blue Jeans - Such a simple look but I love wearing shirts and this outfit has made me want a really crisp white shirt that I could wear to work with black skinny jeans.

Jumper and Collar - As I just mentioned I love wearing shirts, at the minute I can't get enough of pairing them with jumpers, the polka dot blue on the white shirt really stands out even with a jumper, and look at how cute that broach is too!

Leopard Print Blouse and Black Skinny Jeans - This outfit reminds me of summer and I 'm already looking forward to being able to dress in nice smart clothes for work and not need to lug around a big coat and scarf with me.

Tutu Skirt - This skirt is so cute, I have no idea what occasion I'd wear it for or what with but we can all still dream of wearing pretty tutus everyday can't we?

Monochrome Dog-Tooth Dress and Red Coat - My next coat needs to be a nice long red coat. I think this can brighten up any winter, especially the dull English ones we seem to have.

Pinterest Post #1 - An Introduction

Introducing you to another one of my little spaces on the internet - Pinterest! Although I've had this pinterest account for a while, I never really used it much other than to pin photos from my blog onto my blog board. Don't get me wrong, I love pinterest and pinning but as I already had a pinterest account (which you can see here) for my work and those related boards I never really used this one - until now...

Now I am completely addicted to 'pinning' pretty much everything, from fashion and make-up to home inspiration to food, food and more food. So, I have decided that every week (hopefully) I'll be posting a mid-week post on a different one of my pinterest boards starting with Fashion next week! Choosing around 5 of my favourite pins from each board and writing a little bit about them.

Mango Wishlist

I've been super busy lately and been meaning to post one of my many drafts for so long! I hate not being able to sit and write and update my blog so this weekend I'll hopefully be able to make time to do just that. Autumn Wishlist

Today being the first day of autumn, what other day would be better to show you my Autumn Wishlist?! June Fashion Wishlist

For the past few months rather than doing a general wish list I've been trying to focus on different things such as beauty or specific retailers. The Collar and Jumper Combo

Being a full-time student I'm often picking out different outfits to wear each day. Sometimes there are those lazy days but when I do actually make an effort to dress nicely for uni I've come to realise that wearing shirts or blouses underneath jumpers are one of my favourite things to wear. Here are two of these outfits which I've worn lately...

This is an ASOS shirt with a Topshop jumper, I love the detail of the zip in the collar and the bright jumper which also has the hints of white in it.

This outfit is one of my favourites and I managed to get both the jumper and blouse and even the necklace from Primark. I love the colour of the shirt and the detail on the jumper, which I remember a few years ago I managed to buy in the sale for only £2!

My Topshop Wish List

Every month I try to post at least one wish list, usually a monthly mix of some of the things I've had my eyes on recently. I thought I'd mix it up a little bit this month however and base this wish list on one store, Topshop! They have so many nice things in at the moment and although I know I won't be buying most of these if any at all because, well, it's been a long time since I last received my student loan to say the least. My favourite's have to be the shoes and the playsuit, perfect for the sun when it finally decides to stay here for longer than a day in the UK!

Primark Haul

The past couple of times I've been into Primark I've actually seen quite a few things I like. So, without spending too much (which is easier than it sounds in Primark) I thought I'd treat myself and buy a few bits and pieces.

The first thing that really caught my eye (and was also the reason why I went back) was this blouse which was £9. I've started to have a thing for collars lately and I also really like the neutral colour. I think it can be worn in a work environment as well as being dressed down with some jeans and a jumper.

This top was in the sale for £3 down from £7 which I think is an absolute bargain. I wore this for the first time the other day with leggings, a black string top underneath it and a long cardigan and I was really impressed with it, I can't believe how cheap I managed to get it for.

Lastly are some cute Barbie socks which I really like, (I'm all for fun socks) and this gold and mint green statement necklace. These necklaces also look really good with a nice collar and jumper and I think they can make a whole outfit look so much better.

2014 and Wish List: THE SALES!!!

I found this on pinterest (here) and thought it was a great thought to start the new year with!

I hope you all had a good time celebrating the new year last night/today, Happy New Year to all of you lovely readers! Yesterday it made it 4 months since I had written and posted my first blog post and I can't believe how well my blog has done, getting nearer and nearer to my first milestone now.. 100 followers! That itself gives me so much motivation to continue to post regularly (when I'm back at uni it does get a lot harder) but I'm going to try and post at least twice a week. Another resolution, or more of an aim is to get myself a part-time job this year so that I will be a lot better off financially. But, I can only TRY with this because I've been applying and going to job interviews for a while and I still don't have one so we'll see and hopefully it'll happen very soon!

Christmas Wishlist

I haven't made a wishlist in a while but rather than making a monthly one I thought it'd be nice to do a Christmas wishlist.. especially now that it's December and Christmas is everywhere you look (I'm not complaining though)

1. AX Paris Dress - £45. This is my favourite dress that I've seen for this season, I can't believe how perfect it is and if (as a student) I had the money for this dress I'd definitely be purchasing it!
2. Newlook Reindeer Jumper - £29.99. What's more cheesy at this time of year than a Christmas Jumper? Well, surely it's one like this that lights up too!
