L'oreal Paris Nude Magique Eau De Teint

I'd been using two of the Rimmel foundations (wake me up and match perfection). Then just my luck they both ran out at the same time! So, I'd been looking at different foundations trying to decide which should be my next purchase, the Bourjois ones looked appealing but then I saw the advert for this. And since I bought it (currently on offer for £6.99 in Boots, will usually be £9.99) I've seen a fair few reviews too!

Here's the shade I've got is 'porcelain' (the lightest one) which does look quite dark on my hand but it blends in nicely as you can see below, plus, my hand is quite a bit paler than my face!

Here it is blended in. It is a very light coverage foundation which I prefer because really, who does like to feel a heavy layer of make-up on their face? It does seem like it should be used in the summer because of this lighter coverage although I will definitely continue to use it as it gets even colder! It gives you a very smooth velvety feel to your skin and makes you look like you're not even wearing any foundation (in a good way) and still manages to cover up any imperfections. A concealer would still probably be needed if you have any major blemishes or dark under eyes but I guess that would just depend on your own skin. The 'lighter than water' effect that it claims to have seems to be true too because when I went into boots on the day I bought this they were doing an experiment where they had two glasses of water; one with this foundation in and a different one in the other. This foundation floated and the other didn't.

If you have any other questions about this product that I haven't already answered, feel free to contact me or leave a comment below.

New Look Haul

Hello Everyone!

I ordered these online a few weeks ago but I've only just got around to going home (although I'd almost forgotten about them until I got there) and opening it!

Cute socks! Lately I've really had a thing for nice patterned socks and socks (or most things) that include cute little animals. Hedgehog'saztec and tartan.

These grey cable knit leggings (although not actual cable knit, just fleeced with the pattern) are great for this season and I love wearing them already. And you can't have enough jeans! Skinny jeans are the only type of jeans I tend to wear and I always tend to buy them from New Look because of the fit and I get so much wear out of them. Black skinny jeans and blue skinny jeans were the ones I went for this time, to add to my collection of New Look jeans!

I hope you enjoyed this quick haul

Mini Lush Haul

I was in Birmingham a few days ago and as we were about to pass the Lush store I HAD to go inside. It's not often that I get to visit a Lush store because I don't have a local one at home or at uni but when I do I more often than not have to pick up a couple of things.

Now that the Christmas products have been released, after already reading blog posts on them I already knew which ones I wanted to try. I've seen a few different Christmas bath melts around but the melting snowman looks far too cute to say no to! He smells absolutely amazing, the most christmasy scent you could think of; cinnamon with a hint of orange. I can't wait to use this bath melt although I think I'll be saving him to use at Christmas, it even includes different butters and oils to make your skin ultra soft in the cold winter months.

The Rudolph fresh face mask I added to my October wishlist and now I have it! When I was in store, one of the members of staff tested out this one (and another face mask) out on my hands and this being the one I knew I wanted ended up being the better of the two for me. It left my hand feeling so smooth and now I just can't wait to try it out. Especially as it gets colder and we need to keep our skin feeling fresh! It smells of lavender and also includes cucumber which is used because it is so calming.

This charity pot was offered to me by the guy at the checkout so for only £1 I thought, 'well, go on then'. A little bit of money going to a good cause and you get a tiny sample of a hand and body lotion. To me the scent of this smells quite chocolaty but I didn't know it was for sure until I read that it's actually made up from cocoa butter and almond oil (among many other things of course) and it claims to be organic so what's not to love about this product?!

Do you have any Lush favourites you recommend?

My Week #3

My week in pictures for the third time...

My eye make-up for the circus themed carnage and the stairs I created on sketch up for uni.

Getting the train home means a nice costa hot chocolate, some dogs that decided to sit next to me on the train and my view out of the window as I got closer to home.

Thumper was happy to see me home (apparently I look about 60 in this picture) and one of the many train stations I had to stop at on the way back to uni at night.

A trip to see Birmingham Library this week with uni.

More of Birmingham; Nando's (one of my favourite places to eat ever!), Selfridge's in Birmingham and a cheeky little shop in Lush!

What have you been up to this week?

Autumn Inspiration

Today I've been feeling in a real Autmn-y mood! And when I read Louise's (Sprinkle of Glitter's) Autumn post earlier today I went onto my pinterest (you can see it here) and was amazed by all of the lovely autumn and winter things I found! I love pinterest, so much that I even have another one for my blog for my course at uni (here if you're interested in design too).

So, after finding all of these wonderful Autumn things I thought I'd do a similar post to Louise's and share some of them with you...

Decoupage pumpkins, I think this is a great idea and I know how easy decoupage is because I've used it in some of my textile work here

These candle jars look sooo warm and autumn-y

I really want to make this bowl from leaves, the colours and shape is perfect

How cute is this little sewn pumpkin?!

I've got a few nice candles in ready for when the autumn and winter seasons, now all I need are some fir-cones

To see all of these and more autumn/winter ideas check out my Autumn/Winter board, I did have to refrain myself from looking at the winter ideas too much though because I was getting too excited for winter and Christmas!

What are your favourites or do you have any other Autumn craft/decor ideas?

Quick Update

Hi guys!

Just a quick update for some posts that will be coming soon because I've been soooo busy with uni and everything lately.

One review that I'm excited to do for you is for the new "L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique" foundation which I cheekily bought myself today. Another review which I've been meaning to do is for the "Maybelline Colossal" mascara and also "The body shop rain forest hair mask" so that's a lot of testing things out for me!

Hope you all have a great weekend

October Wishlist

Hello everyone!

So another monthly post today and that's my October Wishlist (I really like making these but they make me want to buy so much!) I only managed to buy about 3 things from my September Wishlist and now that I'm back at uni I doubt I'll be able to buy much from this list but I guess that's why it's a 'wish' list.

2. Benefit Rockateur - £23.50
4. Wedge boots - £24.99

What's on your wishlist this month?

September Favourites

I know everyone says this but how is it October already?! This has been my first official week back at uni and as a second year I've been overloaded with work already so I've been trying to plan a few posts out so I can still post at least one or two a week. Enough of me blabbering on and here it is, my September favourites!

I haven't got around to testing out that many products this month that are new but these are the few things that I have been loving this month.

First of all is the Provoke touch of silver intensive conditioner. I was originally going to buy the John Frieda version of this conditioner but as this one was cheaper I bought this instead because well, who doesn't love a bargain? Although it's called 'touch of silver' it can also be used on blonde hair and aims to brighten your hair. I don't have fully blonde hair but I do have blonde ombre which I love and like to keep it bright as usually after topping it up it soon gets duller but I think this has really been working for me.

Onto the facial products and the Botanics facial scrub is amazing! I think it might even be better than any other facial scrub I've used before. The Nivea express hydration primer (you can read my review here) is sooo good, I notice when I've forgotten to put it on when I get back and my make-up isn't left as well as it would be if I did wear it.

And last but not least, make-up. When I was looking for a new blusher because I didn't like the ones I already had, a friend of mine recommended this one - The MUA blusher. For £1 I thought it wouldn't be very good but it's amazing and the best that I've ever tried. The Maybelline 24hr colour tattoo I wear some days lightly to look quite natural and then when I go on a night out I either wear a bit more of it or I use it as a base and add more on top. It is a great product and I really do recommend it.

I hope you enjoyed this months favourites and I guess it won't feel like long until the next one!
