Pinterest Post #12 - Easter

As you all probably know, pinterest is full of things to make and bake and with it coming up to Easter this weekend I thought I'd share with you a few Easter ideas and treats. You can find more that I've pinned on my Easter pinterest board, but here are my top five.

Candles in Egg Shells - This looks like such a good idea especially for Easter, painting the egg shells also could make a cute display of different colours as a centerpiece for an Easter meal.

Easter Chick Cupcakes - I love baking but I don't think I'd have the patience to be able to make something this detailed, it almost looks too good to eat though!

Easter Bunny Cake - Now this is my kind of cake, whoever thought of this design for a cake is just pure genius. I'd love to try and bake this and I think children would be pretty entertained with this too.

Pom-Pom Easter Bunny - This could be a cute Easter gift to give someone who maybe doesn't like/or want chocolate for Easter, plus it's handmade which is also nice to give.

Bird's Nest Bites - These look much easier to make, and I love the cuteness of them looking so much like bird nests. Plus you don't actually need to bake them which makes them easier and quicker too.

What are your Easter plans?

Pinterest Post #11 - Kitchenware

If you've seen some of my most recent posts you may have noticed I've been sharing my love for homeware bits and pieces and also how much baking I've been doing lately. So for today's post I thought I'd share with you some pretty kitchenware which I've seen on pinterest and now need in my life. These are just my top picks for my kitchenware pinterest board.

Vintage Floral Prints - I love these prints and especially on the vintage milk bottle, I'd much rather have this to put milk in in the fridge rather than those plastic bottles it comes in.

Mixer - If you can't already tell from the images above I really like pastels in kitchenware and this mixer is just lovely. I think I saw it recently on somewhere like The Great British Bake Off and they look so easy to use too.

Heart Shaped Dish - I spotted a lot of these around valentine's day earlier this year but I think they'd be great for the whole year, not just for one day, especially if you love baking like me.

Cute Bowls - These look so pretty together, and look at just how cute that little bird is.

Heart Shaped Measuring Spoons - I always seem to forget how useful measuring spoons and cups are and I'm yet to own some still. These heart shaped ones just make them even more worth having, right?

Pinterest Post #10 - Hair

Another one of the many things I love pinning in the world of pinterest has to be hairstyles. You can see more on my hair board but I've picked out my top 5 below, as you can probably tell I'm going through a mix of both an ombre and a plait obsession at the minute.

Plaited Hair

I've been wanting to change my hairstyle again for quite a while now and although I've been looking at a few short hairstyles over on pinterest recently, I don't think I'm feeling brave enough to go shoulder length or shorter just yet. I am however thinking of rekindling the ombre look which I've had for over a year before, a year without and now I'm thinking of going back to it, the first image above sells me 100% but I'm pretty sure mine won't be looking that good! Another reason for not wanting to have too short hair right now is that I've been loving plaits lately, although I need to master them myself, they look amazing, I really love fishtail plaits which for some reason I can't get my head around creating just yet, hopefully I will do one day. The Game of Thrones inspired look is also one I'm yet to try but I'm loving watching Game of Thrones at the minute so I thought I'd throw it in there!

What are your favourite hairstyles at the moment?

Pinterest Post #9 - Make-up Tutorials

Learning how to create a new make-up look or improve on something within how I apply my make-up is something I love to learn. Whether I've seen a fellow blogger, celeb or friend try something new or which I haven't seen before I want to know how to create that look too. Pinterest is often where I like to go for this, so today's post is all about make-up tutorials on pinterest. You can have a browse of the make-up tutorials that I've pinned here and my top five below!

Red/Grey look for blue eyes - I'm not quite sure what occasion or where I'd wear this look to. But, I LOVE it. The white, black, grey and especially the red stand out so much and seem to work really well with blue eyes. Now I just need an excuse to wear my make-up like this!

Contouring and highlighting - Contouring and highlighting is something that I rarely do. Mostly because on a day-to-day basis of having about twenty minutes to get ready from jumping out of bed to leaving the house for work, I really don't have time. But also I'm not entirely sure I currently have the best products for it, I'd quite like to try it with a different bronzer as the ones I currently own seem to be a bit too shimmery.

The perfect lined lips - I've only recently started to use lip liners, I'm usually straight on with the lip stick but I've started to realise what a difference it can make.

How to make your lipstick last - Now when it comes to making your lipstick last, I've heard of people putting tissue between their lips or dabbing it on them before applying the next coat, but I've never seen it done with a brush before and I think it looks like quite an interesting technique. I am yet to try it for myself though!

Eyeshadow for hooded eyes - I really like the shades of grey used in this look and how they gradually get darker towards the outside, which although it could work with anyone I think it looks great with someone like myself who has hooded eyes and creates an almost shadow like effect.

What are some of your favourite make-up looks?

Pinterest Post #8 - Spring

Now that it's March I'm looking forward to Spring so much. I think the majority of us are all done with winter for now and want sunny days and flowers, right? I've even found a website which counts down the days until Spring and has lots of pretty pictures of it here. So for today's post I thought I'd just share with you a few images from my spring pinterest board.

This beautiful display of flowers is such a nice idea for centre pieces or just to brighten up your room in spring. These flowers in wellies are such a good idea, especially if you have children that are forever changing their shoe size. Flowers in tea cups are another way to brighten up your home with flowers this Spring, especially if you love tea and tea cups as much as I do! I can also imagine myself on this garden swing enjoying some cold spring drinks, I love making juices, smoothies and milkshakes but I don't think it ever quite feels the same unless it's Spring/Summer so I'm hoping to start making more of these again soon.

What are you looking forward to doing this spring?

Pinterest Post #7 - Arts & Crafts

I've always been into my arts and crafts from a young age and now I'm studying Interior Design at university whilst creating a scrapbook of my photography, making candles and baking in my spare time. I think it's fair to say that I'm still very much into them. So I've picked my top 5 things to make from my Arts & Crafts board to show you below.

D.I.Y Chalkboards - This is such a great idea, using an old mirror of photo frame and painting it then inserting a chalkboard into the middle (I know you can even buy chalk board paint or paper if you don't have an actual chalkboard).

Sock Monkey - I think this would make such a good gift if you wanted to hand make something - and it looks a tad better than the sock puppets Phoebe made in friends, right?

D.I.Y Book Covers - I don't know about you but buying pretty stationary and notebooks always motivates me to use them a lot more than the plain boring ones, so how about buying a cheap plain notebook and covering the front in your own fabric?

Hot Chocolate Spoons - I've seen these in shops quite a lot recently but I never thought they were worth the money when you can buy a whole tub of hot chocolate for a similar price or even cheaper. So I'm going to keep this idea on my to-do list and see how they turn out making my own.

Tea-Cup Candles - I think I might have mentioned this in one of my previous posts but a new hobby I've taken up this year is making candles. It was actually after I'd seen these tea-cup candles and although I haven't made any in tea-cups as of yet, I do plan on doing it soon and they would also make great gifts!

Let me know if any of you decide to re-create these ideas, you can find me on twitter @AbigailsWorld94.

Pinterest Post #6 - My Bucket List

This week I thought it would be nice to write a post on something a little which you don't see too many blog posts about, and that is what's on my bucket list. There are so many things I'd like to do some day but just to name a few here are five of them in no particular order.

Go to Italy - If you read my travel post last week you will know that Italy is the place I'd like to visit the most abroad if I had the chance to choose anywhere, so no doubt that wouldn't be on my bucket list somewhere!

Ride in an airplane - To go to Italy I'd probably have to get in an airplane, also something I've never done before believe it or not. I can't quite imagine what it would be like to be that high in the sky, although it probably seems like nothing to some of you, there's not a reason why I haven't been in a plane before, I've just never needed to as I've never been abroad before either.

Play in a human hamster ball - How amazing would that be? It looks like so much fun and reminds me of some shows I'd watch on tv when I was younger.

Learn to play guitar - I do actually own a guitar although I've never gotten around to learning how to play it properly so that's something that I'd like to do at some point. I remember teaching myself jingle bells on it one year but I'm yet to get a bit further than that!

Learn how to drive - Another thing that I'm yet to get around to doing, how difficult will it be? I'm hoping to maybe get around to it this summer so wish me luck!

Pinterest Post #5 - Travel

Travelling is something I don't get to do too often with still being a university student but something I'd love to do a lot more. Although I've never been abroad before I know there's some places I'd definitely like to visit some day, so for today's post I thought I'd share with you my top 5 places I want to travel abroad to from my pinterest board here.

Italy - Italy is probably the place I'd like to visit the most. I'm not sure why, I'm currently trying to learn the language too and I love their food (everyone likes pizza though, right?) Lake Como is pictured (no.1) and it's little streets like this which I imagine Italy to be like, it also reminds me of the film 'Letters to Juliet' which is based on Italy and the whole Romeo and Juliet love story and every time I watch that film it makes me want to go there.

France - France is another place I'd love to visit. In particular the Eiffel Tower (image no.5 - just incase you weren't sure....) and even Disney Land. Although if I ever do get to visit France one thing I'm not too sure about is the snail eating - would definitely choose Italy over France when it comes to their food!

Bora Bora - Everyone dreams of going to a place like Bora Bora, it looks so tranquil, a place you could sit and relax all day long and enjoy the view and let go of all your worries. When it comes to thinking of places to go to abroad I never really choose the typical beachy holiday destinations as I'd much rather go and see sites then lay around on a beach but with Bora Bora I'd definitely make an exception.

Australia - Did anyone ever watch the show 'H2o' as a child? The show where the three teenage girls would turn into mermaids if they touched water and all had a power each? Well I did and I think that's one of the reasons why I wanted to go to Australia so much, the Sydney Opera House is also an amazing piece of architecture I'd like to see. I think the wildlife and animals would be great to see there too, although I'd probably be quite scared if I saw a crocodile.

Fiji - Image no.2 shows the heart Shape Island, Tavarua Island in Fiji. In these images I think Fiji can look quite similar to that of Bora Bora but, one reason in particular that Fiji is in my top 5 is that there is also an underwater motel which you can stay in. How amazing is that? You're on the ocean floor and you can even feed the fish from pressing a button in your motel room, imagine literally waking up to that (here).

You can see more from me on pinterest here, see you over there.

Pinterest Post #4 - Jewellery

Back for another post on the wonderful world of pinterest, this time I've picked out my 5 favourite pins from my jewellery board.  I'm always on the look out for some nice rings but I'm yet to find any that really stand out to me, each time I'm in a shop and see the jewellery collection I can't help but go over and have a peak! Here are some of the pieces I've been lusting over online recently.

Origami Crane Earrings - Although I own quite a lot of earrings, I think it's fair to say that these would stand out a mile from the any I own. I think these are incredible, I can't imagine having the patience to hand-make these, they must have been so fiddly - but worth it.

Rose Gold Initial Bracelet - I never tend to wear many bracelets, I own a couple of charm bracelets which I do like to wear but I'm never brave enough to wear them out and about through the fear of losing them. It doesn't matter what size I get, for some reason they tend to always slip off my wrist and over my hand. This bracelet is so cute, especially with the initial and I particularly love that it's rose gold.

Art Deco Ring - I bet this ring caught your eye didn't it? (Top Left) I think it's probably the most beautiful ring I've ever seen! Those blue tones with the silver ring are magnificent, we all wish we had a ring like this now, right?

Gold, Pink and Grey Crystal Quartz Ring - I use to collect different kinds of gems and stones when I was younger and this ring reminded me of those. Putting them into a ring is a brilliant idea, I'd love to try this but I wouldn't know where to start with making my own. The chosen pink and grey crystals in this ring match perfectly too.

Dinosaur Ring - I don't know what it is but I've always been a fan of dinosaurs. From watching tv shows like walking with dinosaurs and then onto Primeval growing up (although it's not really just about dinosaurs) I've always really liked them. So this ring was no doubt going to be in my top 5 picks, I even own at least two pairs of dinosaur socks, I just think they're amazing - maybe even roar-some? Too far?

Pinterest Post #3 - Nails

Nail art and just generally painting my nails is something that I've always been into even from quite an early age. I remember having a little children's set of stick on nails and nail varnish with a little section to add glitter and what not. So in today's pinterest post I thought I'd share with you five of my favourite designs and looks from my Nails board.

OPI - You Don't Know Jacques Matte - Matte nails have been quite popular for a while now and I think they're still increasing in popularity. I'm still yet to try a matte nail polish however but I really like the look of this one, I think the neutral tonnes go well with the matte finish, and because I haven't used one before I think it'll be a better first try than the glossier brighter looks that I'm use to from blues to reds.

Black with Gold Stripes - I've seen this nail art technique quite a lot and really want to try it! This was done by painting the whole nail with the glitter/gold nail polish and when dry you cover the nail with tape which you want to keep this colour, and then paint your nails over the top in black. Then when this is dry you can peel off the tape and you'll have this look!

Scrabble Nails - I've never seen these before - I remember when the scrabble rings and necklaces were popular not too long ago and loved them, these remind me of them but even better! I'm not sure how they painted them so neatly so I'd never be able to re-create this but it's definitely my favourite from these top 5.

Florals - After all of the cold cold weather and snow we've had lately - I love snow, but not so much when I have to travel to work in it, I am SO ready for Spring. And this nail art reminds me of exactly that. Spring/Summer nails are all about the pretty flowers and I love this blue background too. I even think I might just be able to re-create these ones (I'll let you know).

Polka Dots - Polka dots are great for all year round but with this pastel mint green as the background it reminded me of Spring again and I seem to be in that frame of mind lately! I like creating this look myself and one of my favourite colour combinations is grey and white.

Hope you enjoyed this post, let me know what your favourite nail polishes and designs have been recently

Pinterest Post #2 - Fashion

So here, as promised is the first of the pinterest board posts! This week I've chosen to focus on fashion, I think fashion must be one of the most popular things searched for on pinterest (second to food most probably) and it's filled with so much inspiration for all times of the year and there's something for everyone's style. You can see what else is on my fashion board here, whilst I've chosen five of my favourites to show you below.

White Shirt and Blue Jeans - Such a simple look but I love wearing shirts and this outfit has made me want a really crisp white shirt that I could wear to work with black skinny jeans.

Jumper and Collar - As I just mentioned I love wearing shirts, at the minute I can't get enough of pairing them with jumpers, the polka dot blue on the white shirt really stands out even with a jumper, and look at how cute that broach is too!

Leopard Print Blouse and Black Skinny Jeans - This outfit reminds me of summer and I 'm already looking forward to being able to dress in nice smart clothes for work and not need to lug around a big coat and scarf with me.

Tutu Skirt - This skirt is so cute, I have no idea what occasion I'd wear it for or what with but we can all still dream of wearing pretty tutus everyday can't we?

Monochrome Dog-Tooth Dress and Red Coat - My next coat needs to be a nice long red coat. I think this can brighten up any winter, especially the dull English ones we seem to have.

What's your fashion inspiration at the moment?

Pinterest Post #1 - An Introduction

Introducing you to another one of my little spaces on the internet - Pinterest! Although I've had this pinterest account for a while, I never really used it much other than to pin photos from my blog onto my blog board. Don't get me wrong, I love pinterest and pinning but as I already had a pinterest account (which you can see here) for my work and those related boards I never really used this one - until now...

Now I am completely addicted to 'pinning' pretty much everything, from fashion and make-up to home inspiration to food, food and more food. So, I have decided that every week (hopefully) I'll be posting a mid-week post on a different one of my pinterest boards starting with Fashion next week! Choosing around 5 of my favourite pins from each board and writing a little bit about them.

You can have a look at all of my boards here and feel free to 'follow' my boards and account and leave yours in the comments below - I'd love to have a look at what you've been 'pinning'.
